Raised in Stockton, CA, Jessica Fong graduated from the University of the Pacific with a BFA in Studio Art and BA in Visual Studies. 

Fong has shown in regional and national exhibitions. She was awarded an assistantship at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN and an internship with Zer01 in San Jose, CA. She completed an artist-in-residence at Sonoma Community Center in Sonoma, CA, while making a new series of work about iconographic storytelling. In 2014, she was awarded an internship with the Women’s Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY, where she researched the application of screen printed images on to ceramic surfaces. Fong has presented scholastic papers and has also been the recipient of several awards, and grants, including the Pacific Undergraduate Research Fellowship Grant and Carla Malone Ceramics Award. Fong returned to Stockton, CA, to establish a studio space to support community arts education while also teaching workshops in Sonoma, CA and Sacramento, CA.
